The Man We Built This For

For the man who
has everything.

You did what you were supposed to do.

You built it. All of it.

And somewhere between the business and the mortgage and the family and the responsibility, you lost the one thing nobody told you to protect.

Yourself.

Not broken. Not in crisis. Just carrying more than anyone knows, with nowhere in the world to put it down.

Two men in conversation at Dead Honest retreat

You know the feeling.
You just stopped admitting it.

You sit in the car for ten minutes before going inside. Not because you don't love them. Because you've got nothing left and you know the moment you walk in, it gets taken anyway.

You can't talk to your mates about it. They're under the same weight you are. Nobody says it out loud. So you all just keep moving.

You work harder than ever. Not because you need to. Because it's the one place where the rules make sense and nobody's disappointed in you by the time you get home.

You followed the dream. Studied. Worked. Married. Built. Bought. And now you're standing in the middle of it thinking: this is it?

You've been the strong one so long you don't even know who you are when nobody needs anything from you. You can't remember the last time you asked yourself what you actually want.

You're not depressed. You're not weak. You're just a man who's been living by rules he never chose, wondering why the life he built feels like someone else's.

What We Hear More Than Anything Else

"I should be happier than I am."

That's the sentence. Across industries, income brackets, countries, ages.

The man with the Range Rover and the beach house and the beautiful family and the business that's finally working.

He's not broken. He's not asking for pity. He's just honest enough to admit that everything he was told would make him feel alive hasn't. And he doesn't know a single person he can say that to.

That's who Dead Honest is for. Exactly that man.

What This Is

Six days.
The jungle.
No performance.

Dead Honest is a private men's retreat in Tulum built around one thing: the conversation you've been putting off with yourself for years.

Not therapy. Not a retreat where you journal about your feelings and go home with a vision board.

Real work. Real men. Real honesty. In one of the most viscerally grounding places on earth.

Dead Honest retreat setting, Tulum

You Arrive As

Successful on paper. Exhausted underneath it.

You handle everything. The business. The family. The pressure. The expectations. You've spent years being the reliable one, the strong one, the man everyone depends on.

You sit in the car before going inside sometimes. You work later than you need to because slowing down means actually hearing your own thoughts.

You've built a life most men want and quietly wonder why none of it feels the way you thought it would.

What Changes

You realise most of the rules you've been living by were never actually yours.

The pressure. The expectations. The version of success you've been chasing. The way you've been taught to be a man. A husband. A father. A leader.

You start seeing where you abandoned yourself trying to become who everyone else needed you to be.

You leave understanding your values more clearly, trusting yourself more deeply, and making decisions from a place that's actually aligned with who you are instead of who you've been told to be for years.

Not a new man.

Your man.

The Location

Hotel Kan.
Tulum.

Not the influencer version of Tulum. Not the beach clubs and the DJ sets.

The jungle. The heat. The humidity. The thick canopy and the stillness that does something to a man's nervous system whether he notices it or not.

Hotel Kan is built around a private cenote, not as a feature but as the center of gravity for the whole property. Daily recovery and movement programming. Real meals, not room service. A place built for slowing down, not one you have to talk into it. No reminders of everything waiting at home. Just space. Finally, actual space to hear yourself think.

Format
Private. Small group, intentional.
Duration
Six days. Five nights.
Who Attends
Entrepreneurs, executives, founders. 35 to 60+. High-performing. Ready to be honest.

The Shape of the Week

Every day has a purpose.
This is the arc.

Day 1
Arrive

Land. Exhale. Pool. Dinner. Mezcal.

Tonight isn't about breakthroughs. It's about trust. Most men arrive guarded. Polite. Performing. Feeling each other out. By the end of the night, you'll already feel the difference.

Day 2
The Lie

First real session.

The life you built versus the life you actually want. The pressure of being the man everyone depends on. The gap between how your life looks and how it actually feels.

This is where the room shifts from polite to honest.

Day 3
The Weight

This is the day most men stop hiding.

The resentment underneath the numbness. The anger that's been quietly running things for years. The conversations you've avoided. The things you haven't said out loud in a long time.

Hardest day of the week. Most important one.

Day 4
The Turn

By now, the walls are gone.

The body lets go before the mind does. Something changes when you stop carrying everything alone and finally say the thing you've been swallowing for years.

You'll feel the difference in your body before you can explain it with words.

Day 5
Who You Are Now

Clarity starts replacing noise.

Not the version of you everyone expects. The version of you that's actually true. The man underneath the pressure, performance, responsibility, and years of holding it all together.

This is where things start changing for real.

Day 6
Go Home Different

Because the real question isn't what happens in Tulum.

It's what happens when you get home.

How do you stop abandoning yourself the moment life gets busy again? How do you stop slipping back into the same patterns, same pressure, same silence?

You leave with clarity, language for what's really going on, and a room full of men who now know who you actually are.

Who Built This

Chelsea Sanz, Founder of Cleo
Chelsea Sanz
Founder, Cleo

Chelsea Sanz is a Spanish-Australian entrepreneur, founder of Dead Honest, and creator of Cleo. Over the last decade, she has built brands featured on Yellowstone, The Bachelor, Bachelor in Paradise, and Grace & Frankie, while working alongside professional athletes, entrepreneurs, and high-performing men across business, leadership, and entertainment. She's spent years inside rooms most people spend their lives trying to get into.

What she saw behind closed doors was something very different to what most people imagine.

Some of the most successful men in the room were also the loneliest. Men carrying pressure they never spoke about. Men holding businesses, families, relationships, and entire teams together while quietly feeling disconnected from themselves underneath it all.

After years of working closely with men and raising two sons of her own, Chelsea realised most men aren't looking for another motivational speech or wellness trend. They're looking for somewhere they can finally tell the truth without being judged for it.

That's what Dead Honest was built for. Not another retreat where men sit around pretending everything's fine, and not another watered-down wellness experience telling them how they should think, feel, or behave. It was built as a space where men can finally say the thing they've been carrying for years without feeling judged for it. The pressure. The resentment. The exhaustion. The loneliness. The things most men never feel safe enough to say out loud.

The Room Holders

The people in the room
have done the work.

Chelsea Sanz and the Dead Honest facilitation team
David D'Ambrosio, Demartini Method Facilitator
David D'Ambrosio
Demartini Method Facilitator  ·  Human Behaviour Specialist

David doesn't need to say much. When he does, the room goes quiet. He's trained in the Demartini Method and knows how to walk men straight into the parts of themselves they've been avoiding for years. No judgment. No performance. Just clarity. He's worked with founders, athletes, and high-level operators. Men who carry a lot and say very little. He won't soften the truth to make it easier. He'll show you how to stand in it without flinching.

"Most people avoid the parts of themselves that hold their freedom. I take them there and show them how to walk through."

Paul D'Ambrosio, Performance Strategist
Paul D'Ambrosio
Performance Strategist  ·  Movement Expert  ·  System Rebuilder

Paul reads bodies like blueprints. He sees where the system is off before you say a word and builds the structure that brings it back online. His method, Strength Through Length, is a blend of strength, mobility, and nervous system alignment. Training that builds resilience from the inside out. He runs a full diagnostic on your movement, digestion, sleep, and energy systems and gives you a rhythm that's actually sustainable when you get home. He doesn't hype you up. He builds you back.

"When your system is dialed in, life doesn't feel like effort. It just works."

Guest Speaker

Michael Kiselek, Dallas Cowboys NFL
Michael Kiselek
Dallas Cowboys  ·  NFL

Michael played at the highest level in the world. And for years, nobody saw what it actually cost him. Not the injuries. The identity. The performance that became the only version of himself he knew how to be. The moment the game ended and the man underneath had to figure out who the hell he was without it.

He's in the room on Day 3. Not to inspire you. To be honest with you. About pressure. About what it means to build your entire life around a version of yourself that can't last. About what he wishes someone had said to him when he was still in it.

For men who've performed at the top of their own arena, this conversation opens something nothing else can.

"I spent years being exactly who everyone needed me to be. It took losing everything to find out who I actually was."

Guest Speaker

Ray Cash, Navy SEAL
Ray Cash
Navy SEAL

Ray Cash spent years operating in the most high-pressure environments on earth. Not as a concept. As a reality. The kind of pressure that strips everything away and leaves only what's actually true about a man.

What he learned in that world isn't about tactics or discipline or waking up at 4am. It's about what happens when the performance has to stop and the man underneath has to be enough on his own.

He's in the room to talk about identity under pressure. About what real strength looks like when nobody's watching. About the version of masculinity that doesn't need an audience.

For men who've been performing strength their whole lives, Ray is the one who shows them what it actually is.

"The hardest mission I ever ran wasn't overseas. It was learning to be honest with myself about who I was when the uniform came off."

Tulum Run Club, Dead Honest retreat

Social Proof

What Men
Are Saying.

"I've spent most of my life being the guy everyone leans on. Family. Business. Mates. You just keep moving, keep carrying it, keep your mouth shut and get on with it. Working with Chelsea was probably the first time in years I felt like I could actually put the armour down for a minute without being judged for it. She doesn't baby you, and she definitely won't let you bullshit your way around the truth, but there's something about her that makes you trust her pretty quickly. The work we did changed the way I show up everywhere. Better husband. Better father. Better leader. Less noise in my head. More clarity. More peace. I didn't realise how much weight I'd been carrying until I finally put some of it down."

James R.  |  Sydney, Australia

"I honestly thought I was good. Business was good. Money was good. Life looked good from the outside. But if I'm being real, I was just running the same plays over and over without even thinking about it. Wake up. Work. Handle shit. Repeat. Working with Chelsea made me realise how much of my life had been built around expectations that weren't even mine. Family stuff. Old programming. Just years of trying to be the guy everyone expected me to be. Once I got clear on what actually mattered to me, everything changed. I had more energy, more drive, more confidence, and honestly just felt like myself again. I didn't need fixing. I just needed someone to pull me out of autopilot."

Tyler M.  |  Austin, Texas

"Chelsea has this way of making you feel completely seen and heard without ever letting you get away with your own bullshit. She's warm, nurturing, grounded, and somehow makes you feel safe enough to actually drop your guard, but at the same time, she's strong as hell and will call you out when you're avoiding the truth. And honestly, I needed that. I needed someone who wasn't scared to hold the line with me instead of just telling me what I wanted to hear. The level of trust we built surprised the hell out of me. If you'd told me a year ago I'd be opening up the way I did with a woman I'd never met before, I would've said you were out of your mind. But I don't know what to tell you, this ended up being one of the best things I've ever done for myself. It changed the way I see the world, how I see myself, and pretty much helped me become a better man overall."

Questions

The things
men actually ask.

Is this therapy?

No. We are not diagnosing or treating mental health conditions. We create the conditions for honest self-examination. If a man needs clinical support, we say so and point him toward it.

Do I have to share in front of the group?

No man is ever forced to share anything. What happens is that by Day 3, most men want to. The container does that. Not pressure trust.

How many men are in the group?

Deliberately small. Big enough for real brotherhood. Small enough that every man in the room is seen. This is not a conference. It's a container.

I've never done anything like this before. Is that okay?

Most men who come haven't. That's actually the point. If you'd done this before, you probably wouldn't need it as badly. Come exactly as you are.

What's the physical side like?

Morning movement sessions with Paul, ice baths, beach volleyball, the Tulum Run Club, and the temazcal ceremony. You can do as much or as little as you want. You don't need to be an athlete. You just need to show up.

Is everything confidential?

Completely. What happens in this container stays here. That's not a guideline. It's a non-negotiable stated on Day 1 and held without exception by every man in the room.

What do I need to bring?

Comfortable clothes for movement, smart casual for evenings, and an open mind. Everything else, the sessions, the experiences, the meals, the transport within Tulum, is taken care of.
